My "About Me" page.


My Name is Ryan for those of you who don't know already....
I am a DeVry University graduate.
With a BS in "Network and Communications Management".

And just to make you jealous, I started college in July of 2001, and I graduated in February of 2004.
Yep thats right, a full year and a half before everyone else my age. And THAT is with a Bachelors Degree.
I'm in to computers, and people tell me I'm good at them, so that's what I went in to.
I live in an apartment in a Town called Urbana. It's near a little college you might have heard of. The University of Illinois.

I've work for the University of Illinois - Urbana/Champaign campus.
I hold the official title of Research Programmer. I am employed in the Network Design Office of CITES.
My duties will include many things , but I'll spend most of my time doing network designs, and configuring switches.

I run Linux exclusively on my computers now.
I started with Linux as a hobby a few years ago and it grew to become my permanent desktop.
I also run linux on my servers.
Anyone sick of Microsoft, or the way Windows does things, should take a look at what Linux has to offer.
I'm about 5'9", Dark Brown hair, Baby Blue eyes.
I was born in January of 1983. In the town of Champaign, Illinois.
Then I moved to a little town called Hoopeston, where I lived ~17 years until I moved out to College.

I play Trumpet and Guitar.
I've played Trumpet longer, but I think I'm better at Guitar.
I think of Music as my drive in life. I seem to have the most fun creating some type of music.

I use a Carvin guitar head and a Crate speaker cabinet.
